Laser Therapy

LANAP

For moderate to advanced periodontal disease, Dr. Anderson may recommend LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure). LANAP is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional gum surgery. This procedure utilizes a digital dental laser without the need for incisions or sutures thus reducing discomfort, inflammation, bleeding and risk of infection. Recovery time is also significantly reduced. LANAP will precisely remove the harmful bacteria and diseased tissue while stimulating new bone growth to help prevent tooth loss.

Dr. Anderson is fully licensed and trained to perform Periodontal Laser Therapy using the Periolase which is FDA cleared and patented. It is the only scientifically proven laser therapy to result in periodontal regeneration, new bone growth, and gum tissue attachment lost due to moderate to severe periodontal disease

LAPIP

LAPIP (Laser Assisted Peri-implantitis Procedure) is a minimally invasive technique used to restore bone attachment around dental implants with peri-implantitis. Peri-implantitis is a form of gum disease affecting the gum and soft tissue around a dental implant. This inflammatory condition can lead to loss of supporting bone around a functioning implant. If left untreated peri-implantitis can lead to implant loss.
